Getting Started

Simply drag your finger across any country on the map. The gold overlay will scratch away to reveal the colorful country underneath. You'll feel haptic feedback and see particle effects as you scratch. Once you've scratched enough of the country, it will be marked as visited.

Yes! Tap on any visited country to open its detail view, then tap "Remove Visit" to reset it. The country will return to its unscratched state. You can also long-press a country for quick options.

Use two fingers to pinch and zoom the map. Drag with one finger to pan around. Double-tap to quickly zoom in on a region. The map supports smooth 60fps animations for a fluid experience.

Premium & Subscriptions

Premium unlocks unlimited country scratching (free is limited to 10), regional maps like USA states, photo memories for each country, advanced statistics, iCloud sync across all devices, and the Apple Watch companion app.

Go to Settings on your iPhone > tap your Apple ID > Subscriptions > WanderMap > Cancel Subscription. Your premium features will remain active until the end of your current billing period.

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find your WanderMap purchase, and request a refund. Apple typically processes refund requests within 48 hours.

Both give you full access to all premium features. The subscription ($24.99/year or $3.99/month) renews automatically. The lifetime purchase ($59.99) is a one-time payment that gives you permanent access with no recurring fees - it pays for itself in about 2.5 years.

Data & Privacy

Your data is stored locally on your device and included in your device backups. Premium users can enable iCloud sync to automatically backup and sync data across all devices. We recommend enabling iCloud sync for the best experience.

Go to Settings > Data Management > Export Data. You can export your travel data as JSON or share it as a formatted PDF with your travel statistics and visited countries list.

No. WanderMap never tracks your location. You manually scratch countries you've visited. We believe in privacy-first design - we don't collect any personal data or analytics. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Troubleshooting

iCloud sync not working

If your data isn't syncing across devices, try these steps:

  1. Ensure you're signed into the same Apple ID on all devices
  2. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud and ensure WanderMap is enabled
  3. Check that you have available iCloud storage
  4. Try toggling iCloud sync off and on in WanderMap settings
  5. Force close the app and reopen it

Premium not activating after purchase

If your premium features aren't unlocking:

  1. Force close and reopen the app
  2. Go to Settings > Restore Purchases in WanderMap
  3. Ensure you're signed into the Apple ID that made the purchase
  4. Check your internet connection
  5. If issues persist, contact us with your purchase receipt

App crashing or freezing

If you're experiencing crashes:

  1. Ensure you're running the latest version from the App Store
  2. Force close the app and reopen it
  3. Restart your device
  4. Check that you have at least 500MB of free storage
  5. If problems continue, try deleting and reinstalling the app (your data is preserved in iCloud if sync is enabled)

Photos not saving

If you can't add photos to countries:

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Photos and ensure WanderMap has access
  2. Check that you have sufficient device storage
  3. Try adding a different photo to rule out file corruption
  4. Restart the app and try again
